orhanpamuk Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 The FAQs here (wasp dot dk slash Support/FAQ#maps__roughnessandorography) says that we need to reduce the total number of points to below 1,000,000. We have the following queries:- Are the FAQs still valid as of the latest WasP 12? Because we ran 2 million points in WasP 11 and it was perfectly fine (compared the final result against another run which had <1 million points and it had <0.01 m/s variation). Is some kind of silent error occurring that we don't know about?- What counts towards the 1 million points? The contour points plus the roughness points?- Can I use Wasp Map Editor "Points" field as the authoritative place of the total number of points I have inserted? As long as its lower than 1M in this field, I am safe?Thank you
Andreas Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Hi,The 1,000,000 point limit was removed with WAsP 11. See the release notes here:https://www.wasp.dk/Download/WAsP12-Suite-Installer/WAsP11_ReleaseNotes. If you use WAsP 11 or 12, then you are safeKind regardsAndreas
orhanpamuk Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Thank you for the reply Andreas. Is there an upper bound on this? For example, 10,000,000 points?
