ActiveX component can't create object

In WASP10, importing OWC from existing file, the following message appears:

Could not respond to the resizing of the OWC window because ...
could not draw an observed wind climate frequency distribution histogram because ...
could not respond to the resizing of the OWC window because ...
could not draw an observed wind climate frequency distribution histogram because ...
the system reported that:
'ActiveX component can't create object.'

I have uninstalled/installed a few times the whole WaSP package and still doesn't work.

HOw does this affect and how can I solve this problem?

Hi,

Sorry about this. Have you by any chance installed WAsP 11 as well? In some cases, this has given rise to a version conflict. We have a fix which I can send you.

WAsP 11 and WAsP 10 should run fine side-by-side on the same machine. This is not your fault.

I have had this exact same problem and do not have WAsP 11 installed. I do have WAsP Engineering 3 installed. Is this likely to be part of the problem? Any assistance would be great.

To any users who are experiencing problems like this, please try installing the latest WAsP 10 update (Feb 2014), which is build 0017.
