WAsP Dongle not detecting

WAsP dongle is not detecting in License manager. I have updated the dongle drivers. but in License Manager it shows "No Dongle attached"

Did you download and install the latest version of the Licence Manager software?

Find it on the web page http://www.wasp.dk/Download/Software.html as

Also, make sure that you use the latest version of WAsP, see http://www.wasp.dk/Download/Software.html (WAsP 10) or http://www.wasp.dk/Download/Software/PreviousInstallations.html (WAsP 9.1 or 8.4)

I am having a similar problem. I am using Windows 7 64-bit, WAsP 8.4 and the latest version of the licence manager.

The message I receive is "No Risø dongles are detected".


Do you know what could be causing the problem?

Hi Trenton,

Sorry to hear about this. Dongle recognition problems are rather rare nowadays.

Can I ask what changed? Presumably you were once happily using WAsP without problems. Did you get a new PC with Win7/64?

Is this a USB dongle or do you have an ancient artefact in the form of a parallel port dongle?

Thanks for your response.

This was a new PC that had Win7-x64 installed, and the first with this configuration that I had tried to run WAsP 8 on. We are using a USB dongle.

The problem was solved by installing the latest version of the HASP runtime obtained from the Alladin website.

OK Thanks for reporting. We'll check that our installation includes the latest drivers. I thought we were, but maybe there's been an update we haven't noticed.
